I love to draw and record what I hear in notes and doodles!

Recently I invited the congregation to doodle, draw and write notes while I preached. Of course this could be an excuse for some to draw random stick people, play X and O’s or to write your name over and over!

I think there are quite a few people who learn and remember something better if they put pencil to paper and take notes or express the content in pictures and shapes. I invited people to come up and show me after what they had created. Some are shown here.

Colossians 3:16 says “Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly…” I think for some of us, one way to allow this to happen is to interact with the Bible by drawing, doodling and note-taking. It’s maybe not for everyone, but try it! You might like it!

I would love to see your notes or doodles based on sermons, Bible reading or other content you have summarized on paper. Send a copy to kent.martens@eefc.ca
